It All Began with a Vision
Nearly 30 years ago, my wife and I moved from San Diego to North Idaho with our four young children. As we settled in, we realized how difficult it was to find the right balance between living on acreage in the woods and being part of a neighborhood. The difference between privacy and isolation often felt very small.
With young children involved in school, sports, and daily activities, we chose to live in town, even though we had already purchased land outside the city. At that time, a place like 10-42 Ranches did not exist, but the idea had already begun to take shape.
Years later, as our children grew up and started families of their own, the vision became clearer. We wanted to create a place where families could live close to nature while staying connected to one another. That vision came to life with the first phase of 28 five-acre parcels released in April 2020. Today, several of our own children and their families, along with active first responders and others, call this community home.
We continue to welcome individuals and families who share the same values, embracing a lifestyle that combines space, nature, and community in North Idaho.
